WHO not Happy on Situation of Polio in Pakistan

World health organization (WHO) indicated that Peshawar is the largest area affected by the virus, KPK government doing their best but its not satisfactory.

WHO representative told media that Pakistan has joined Afghanistan and Nigeria in the red list of polio, Pakistan tribal areas situation increasing polio threats in the KPK, polio workers also not agreed for polio campaign in KPK.

WHO found 86 cases of polio in KPK, told media that there are more cases who are hidden. Polio workers also not happy on the situation of Punjab where missing targets ratio more than whole country polio affected children.

US Scientists Rejected the Claims of Anti-Bacterial Soap Manufacturers

The US scientists rejected the claims of anti-bacterial soap manufacturers, who claimed that there products can become safeguard against bacteria.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of US tested the different anti-bacteria soaps and measured the effects of theses soaps on human health.

They found that there is some ingredients used in making of anti-bacterial soaps who are not suitable for the hormones.
The FDA after findings of different research studies asked the manufacturers to take trials of their soaps and measure its effect on human health at the end of 2014 new regulations will be finalized.

Polio Probe in Pakistan Increasing

Pakistan has facing problems in Polio vaccination in tribal areas. Polio specialists not willing to work in tribal areas and recently in southern Punjab Polio campaign not working due to public resistance.

Indian Government banned on Pakistan visitors to India who are not having Polio vaccination, they also mentioned in visa rules and medical tests required for entering in India must take the Polio vaccination.

In Pakistan especially the tribal areas people having fear Polio campaigns after the incident happened in Abbottabad, KPK. 

WHO also participating its role by starting awareness campaigns in KPK, but International and national experts facing problem because of security reasons. 

Last six months there has been different incidents occurred in Pakistan which also influenced and impacted on public perception against Polio vaccination programs. 

Government of Pakistan and ministry of health focusing this issue and planning for making Pakistan Polio free and few campaigns started to create public awareness.
